...watching a windstorm, of subtropical origin, intensify near the Canary Islands. Over the weekend, the storm may affect Portugal, NW Spain and France with fierce winds and torrential rains. Poor Michael Fish... although he always blames Bill Giles for incident.
Then again Michael was talking about a hurricane in Florida on *that* broadcast wasn't he?
Aye, I bit gusty and wet round Notts too.
Windy here too in Oxfordshire. Top gust today [so far] 36 mph. And of all the places to spend the afternoon, I have to sit in a bloody marquee. LOL
It was very windy today. Could hear it getting up at work. I like a good storm. We don't actually tend to get many these days.
